How do I move my contacts?
Export from your account, not from the handset. Then import or type in the twenty numbers you actually use.
Contacts live in your Apple or Google account rather than on the phone itself, which makes this simpler than it sounds.
- Sign in to iCloud or Google Contacts on a computer and export a contacts file.
- Many simple phones import from a SIM card or a file.
- If the device doesn't import, type in the numbers you actually call. For most people it's fewer than thirty.
- Keep the exported file backed up.
