About

We are not selling you a phone.

Flip for Life is an independent nonprofit. We don't make hardware, resell service, or take commission from anyone who does.

Why this exists

Most people who want to carry less phone don't stop because they lack willpower. They stop because of one unanswered practical question — a bank code, a work group chat, a navigation app. The gap isn't motivation. It's implementation.

So we built the thing that was missing: honest comparisons, a way to find the setup that fits your actual life, and straight answers to the objections that stop people.

What we will not do

  • We won't shame anyone for owning a smartphone.
  • We won't frame this as a moral test you pass or fail.
  • We won't claim something works when it doesn't.
  • We won't take money to recommend a provider.
  • We won't sell, rent, or trade your information.

How providers fit in

Some setups are easier with help. Where an independent provider offers that service, we list it plainly — including its limitations. The provider handles hardware, activation, billing, compatibility, and their own support. Our relationship with them is editorial, not commercial. If a provider stops doing right by people, we remove them.
